Distances on the island are very small and most transport routes covered in very small time and certainly less than 1 hour (depending of course your track and speed of drive).
The island has 5 buses running all round year from Skopelos Chora to Glossa and Loutraki port with stopovers to the country side of the island and the many beaches.
Route duration by bus is about 2-55 minutes depending on your destination e.g 55 minutes Skopelos Chora - Loutraki of Glossa, Skopelos Stafilos 5 minutes, Skopelos Agnondas 8-10 minutes, Skopelos - Panormos, milia , kastani 15-20 minutes, Skopelos - New Klima 30 minutes, Skopelos Glossa 40-45 minutes etc . Less time by car or taxi.
There are also and private buses Mini Buses that are making daily trips to beaches, monasteries, Agios Ioannis , Perivoliou and many other places.
In addition to the island there are plenty of taxis and car rental companies and scooters, bicycles, boats, boat trips you can see at the Activities section Rentals.
In several beaches, bus stops are higher than sea level and you have to walk some meters and also there is no bus service to the wonderful monasteries of the island and also for Agios Ioannis sto Kastri and for many northern beaches.
From Skopelos Chora beyond the regular ferries and catamarans, excursion boats are mainly depart at the morning for the Alonissos Marine Park and operating day trips. There are also some boats for rent or charter for one day or a short vacation.

On our website we present the INDICATIVE SCHEDULES of the PRIVATE BUSES OF SKOPELOS AS INFORMATION. Our website is NOT ASSOCIATED with the buses or any of their services. We simply update the timetable on our website when we become aware that they are being updated at the central station of Skopelos Town for your information. THERE IS NO telephone number to contact the bus drivers - owners. There is a possibility that they have changed or that there are extraordinary events and changes, so consult the timetables at the bus stops and the bus drivers - owners themselves during your stay.

The Skopelos Northern Sporades Buses are formed by the Volos Urban Bus Company and the Magnesia Prefecture Intercity Bus Company ( Ktel Magnesias Volos ), which now will begin their routes on the island of Skopelos . They will offer a reliable and safe bus transport from Chora to Loutraki, for permanent residents and visitors all year round.
In the first phase, five or more buses will be used on a daily basis in Skopelos. All five will be state-of-the-art and will offer safe and comfortable transportation for all people ( including people with disabilities ).
Ticket booths will soon be operating at the port (Skopelos Town), in Agnontas and in Loutraki. From there you will be able to purchase your tickets.
At the same time, you will be able to buy your ticket on the bus.
